If you believe there’s no possible way any dog sheds more than yours, you’ve come to the right place.

Most brushes are sold without instruction.

Which leaves dog parents guessing.

The For Fur Sake System gives you professional tools and the guidance to use them correctly.

That's what sets us apart.

Our Story

We're Debby and Eric, the husband-and-wife team behind For Fur Sake.

I spent over two decades as a professional groomer, and I loved it. But I learned something along the way: the grooming salon isn't the right fit for every dog or every family.

Some dogs get anxious the second they walk through the door. Some families can't swing a professional groom every six weeks, and honestly, that adds up fast. And some dog parents just want to do it themselves, because brushing your dog on the living room floor is pretty great bonding time.

All of those dogs still deserve a healthy coat. So we built the system that makes it possible at home: professional tools, plus videos where I walk you through exactly how to use them.

We're a small family business with big plans, and every order helps us grow. Thank you for being part of it.

Dog Grooming at Home FAQs

Will this actually help reduce shedding in my home?

Yes. Shedding never fully stops, but when loose undercoat is properly removed, it doesn’t end up all over your floors, furniture, and clothes. Regular use of the system helps control shedding at the source. Many dog parents notice less fur around their home and a softer, healthier coat after the first session.

How is this different from the brushes I already have?

Most brushes only work on the surface of the coat. This system is designed to work through each layer, especially the dense undercoat where shedding actually starts. Just as important, you’re not left guessing. The included tutorials show you exactly how to use each tool properly so you get results instead of frustration.

What type of dogs is this deshedding system best for?

This system works best for double-coated dogs like Golden Retrievers, German Shepherds, Australian Shepherds, Border Collies, Corgis, Huskies, Labs, and similar breeds. These dogs have a dense undercoat that requires specific tools and techniques to remove loose fur properly and reduce shedding.

What if my dog hates being brushed?

This is more common than you think, and it usually has nothing to do with your dog being “difficult.” Many dogs resist brushing because it’s been uncomfortable, rushed, or the wrong tools were used in the past. When grooming feels gentle and intentional, most dogs learn to relax and accept it. The included tutorials show you how to introduce each step in a calm, positive way so grooming becomes easier and more comfortable over time.

Is this system safe and comfortable for my dog?

Yes. Each tool is designed to work with your dog’s coat, not against it. When used properly, grooming feels gentle and comfortable for your dog. The included tutorials show you exactly how to groom safely so your dog stays relaxed and confident during the process.
